The First (V)Responders Hub is a virtual space for first responders to help with the stigma around their mental health and the lack of help and awareness surrounding it. During this assignment, we spoke to first responders and researched their livelihoods and found that there was a massive stigma around their mental health; it wasn't told about or addressed due to them not wanting to seem unfit or weak. With this in mind, I came up with the idea of creating an anonymous, safe space for first responders, where they could indulge in activities to help with their mental well-being, as well as their spiritual, physical, and social well-being, without having to worry about being seen as weak or unfit. Through the help of my team, we created a prototype of this space, which is shown here. I was the group leader overseeing our project's research and made the Virtual Space using Mozilla Hubs.
